If you want to create the perfect bedroom -cosy, romantic and on trend then look no further. Here are a few ways that you can create a bedroom that is romantic as well as being snug…

One of the first things to consider is colour. Warm colours work well in a bedroom – muted and soft shades such as pink and grey work well together, but don’t rule out darker colours. Dark colours can make a room feel warm and cosy – deep purples and warm toned deep greens are both great colours to use for a cosy and romantic room. If you are nervous of darker tones, paint one wall and see how you feel – this can add interest and create a good contrast with other lighter walls whist keeping the room lighter overall.

Use materials that create a modern look – engineered wood flooring is one of the best types of floor for a bedroom if you aren’t keen on carpets as it stays warm and looks more modern. A soft fluffy sheepskin rug looks fantastic on a wood floor.

Headboards are another way that you can give the room a modern and sophisticated look – upholstered headboards are great ways to add colour without painting a whole wall, and if you are wanting to create a bit of storage and a feature wall, create some shelving around the headboards where you can display ornaments, store books and use lights to create a warm feel.
